Katrina and Kion

Over the past 18 years, I have studied under dozens of training coaches , attended many seminars, workshops and internships to build my own unique training style.  There is no one technique that works for all dogs. I am highly skilled in reading dogs and choosing a training method to fit each individual dog getting the best results.

My passion…Puppies!!   My speciality is taking sassy / busy puppies and turning their energy into eager learners to get the results you are looking for.   In addition to puppies, my expertise is shy / nervous dogs. I love working with them and building their trust to help them become better rounded dogs.

Earlier in 2019, after 17 years of working in the veterinary profession , I hung my hat as a Licensed Veterinary Technician to better fit the needs of my rapidly growing training center.

I am enjoying offering new programs /classes and look forward to adding more !

Francine and Z28

Francine has been involved with dog training since 1995 when she rescued a ‘’McDonald’s dumpster’’ puppy. This magic puppy, named D-O-G, became Francine’s “heart dog” and inspired her education of dog training.

Now, over twenty years later, Francine has trained hundreds of dogs of numerous breeds. In 2008 Francine opened up her training facility D.O.G. Agility Training Center.  Francine trains and competes successfully with her dogs and has titled in agility, obedience, rally and tracking. She also trains and competes in IPO (Schutzhund), a protection sport. In between training dogs  and instructing at the D.O.G. Agility and Ahead of the Pack.  Francine is an expert at “reading” a dog, understanding how the dog learns and getting the most drive and motivation from the dog. Francine has titled Z28, a Belgian Malinois in AKC obedience, rally, agility and the protection sport IPO.  While many people successfully compete in one or two dog sports Francine is unique in her ability to cross train her dogs.  Z28 earned his IPO I title at the tender age of 26 months with a 1st in class, High in tracking and High in Trial. A month after his HIT for Schutzhund, Z went on to title in AKC Obedience and Rally with two 1st place wins and a 2nd place for his CD. In Rally, Z has had 3 perfect scores of 100. Z recently earned his IPO 2 and 3, the highest level that can be earned in the sport. Agility, Obedience, Rally and IPO are not typically trained at the same time with the same dog. Francine and Z28 are the exception.
