Katrina Magee
Hi, I'm Katrina!
From a young age, I’ve had a deep passion for animals, which naturally led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Over time, I realized that to truly understand animals and their behavior, I needed more hands-on experience. This motivated me to dedicate many years to attending continuing education seminars, workshops, and internships, ultimately helping me develop my own unique approach to teaching.
During my time in veterinary medicine, I was given the opportunity to educate pet owners on how to prevent, manage, and resolve their concerns. I found that this was my true niche, where I could make a real difference.
After becoming a mother, I shifted my focus and opened my own training center, while gradually reducing my hours at the hospital. After 18 years as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, I made the decision to close that chapter and fully embrace my growing training business. For the past six years, I’ve been fortunate to train full-time, allowing me to better balance my career with the needs of my family.
Francine Arnold
Hi, I’m Francine. From a very young age, I had dreamed of being a dog trainer. Finally, twenty-six years ago, I started my journey of learning and competing in various dog sports. As I gained experience and knowledge in different canine sports, I became fascinated with dog behavior and learning theories. My pursuit of this education led me to a very successful career in many competition venues including protection sports, agility, formal obedience training, and tracking. With my successes, I started instructing other competitors in these sports. Many of my students needed more control over their pets to be more successful in competitions. My competition dog training skills easily transferred over to family dogs and made life much more fun for both the dogs and their owners. I have been a full-time dog trainer for 17 years and continue my education in dog training by attending seminars and workshops with top competitors in the country.
Were would we be without "surviving puppyhood" and Katrina? I know were we would not be, we would not be enjoying "puppyhood" as we are now. All the skills we have learned from Katrina even my young daughter can help to instill for a happier life together. Puppy class was the smartest decision we made, 2nd to adopting our Sonny!!
Katrina and Francine are the best around. They are extremely knowledgeable and work with you personally to achieve your training goals. They both really know how to "read" dogs and make recommendations accordingly. They are excellent trainers and really love dogs!! 100% recommend going to ahead of the pack.
Although our spunky lab was only a few months old when reached out to Katrina, everything we and he learned from her still impacts our daily life. He receives so many compliments on his amazing behavior. Even though it has been 6 six years since he was a "puppy," what you taught all of us is integral to his success and comfort, as well as our confidence and our handling of him in all situations, even with our young children. He did AMAZING and it’s all Katrina's credit.
